FAQ
Are prices net or gross?
All prices are net, plus statutory VAT. focusnet serves businesses exclusively (Section 14 of the German Civil Code / B2B).
Which payment methods do you accept?
Self-service orders via credit card or SEPA direct debit. Contracts under a master agreement via bank transfer (net 14 days). For companies within the EU with a valid VAT ID, the reverse-charge procedure is available.
What is the cancellation period?
30 days to the end of the month, no minimum term (except when choosing a commitment discount contract of 12 / 24 / 36 months).
Are there setup fees?
Not for Managed Kubernetes, VCD, S3, BaaS, or Microsoft 365 Backup. For Managed SUSE Virtualization, setup fees apply only to the 6-month contract for tiers S and M (€1,500 and €2,000 per host, respectively).
What happens after the 14-day trial?
In trial mode, the selected package runs free of charge for 14 days. After that, the selected plan becomes active (using the stored payment method). If you do not continue: the trial cluster is deleted. Switching to the Free tier is not possible — Free is a standalone product with its own limits.
What is the difference between Flex, Business, and Dedicated?
- Flex (vCluster Shared): your own vCluster on shared hardware, no dedicated networking. Ideal for dev / staging or small production workloads.
- Business (vCluster Virtual): your own vCluster with an isolated control plane, dedicated public IP, Gateway API — the standard production model.

How does Microsoft 365 Backup work?

Which SLA applies?
99.9% availability for all paid managed tiers (Flex, Business, Dedicated, Managed SUSE Virtualization, VCD). The Free tier has no SLA (best effort). Higher SLA packages available (Business €650 + 10% of resource costs, Premium €2,940 + 10%, Enterprise €6,100 + 10%).
Where is the data stored?
Data center locations exclusively in Germany (Berlin 01, Berlin 02, Hannover 01). focusnet operates its own platform in certified German carrier data centers with its own backbone and its own public AS.
