How it works
Step 1: Register Create your focusnet account in less than 5 minutes. Name, business email, company, mobile number (with SMS verification), payment method (credit card or SEPA direct debit). Your payment method is not charged during the 14 trial days.
Step 2: Configure your cluster Choose your preferred tier — Free (1 vCPU, 2 GB, 5 GB storage, free forever), Flex (your own vCluster on shared hardware, from €69/month after the trial ends), Business (your own vCluster with an isolated control plane and dedicated IP, from €169/month), or Dedicated (a dedicated cluster with its own VLAN and GPU options, minimum M from €499 + €99 management). Your cluster is ready within minutes.
Step 3: Deploy and test Connect via the Rancher UI or kubectl. Deploy your applications and test performance, networking, and storage under real-world conditions.
Step 4: Decide After 14 days, your cluster automatically transitions into the selected paid package — with all data and configurations intact. If you do not want to continue, cancel in the self-service portal before the 14 days expire. After that, the regular cancellation terms apply: 30 days to the end of the month, no minimum contract term.

Frequently asked questions about the trial
Do I need payment details to register?
Yes. You provide either credit card details or a SEPA direct debit mandate. Your payment method is not charged during the 14 trial days. After the trial ends, your cluster automatically transitions into the selected paid package.
What happens after the 14 days?
Your cluster is automatically carried over into the selected package — with all data and deployments. You will receive an email reminder well before the trial expires. If you do not want to continue, cancel in the self-service portal before the 14 days expire; in that case, no costs are incurred.
Is the trial really unrestricted?
Yes, within the scope of the tier specification. You get full access to all features: SUSE Rancher Prime, KubeOVN networking, Harbor registry, PVC storage, basic monitoring. It is a full-fledged production environment, not a restricted demo. Trial limit: up to €750/month in configuration value. GPU bookings are not available in the trial (on request only).
Can I switch to a different tier after the trial?
Within a tier (e.g., Flex S → Flex L or Dedicated M → Dedicated L), upgrades are possible without downtime. A tier change (e.g., Flex → Business or Free → Dedicated) requires a migration: a new cluster is set up in the target tier, and data and deployments are carried over — the setups are fundamentally different at a technical level. Our team supports you with the migration. Tip: if you already know which setup should go to production, start your trial directly in it.
What are the technical requirements?
All you need is a web browser for the Rancher UI or kubectl for the command line. No additional software is required. Basic Kubernetes knowledge is helpful, but thanks to the Rancher UI it is not strictly necessary.
What is the cancellation period after the trial?
After transitioning into a paid package, a cancellation period of 30 days to the end of the month applies. There is no minimum contract term (except with voluntary commitment discounts: 12/24/36 months with −15/−25/−35%).
How is egress traffic handled?
The fair-use policy of the selected tier applies during the trial as well (no hard limits): a flat 100 GB on Free, 250 GB per vCPU on Flex and Business, 500 GB per vCPU on Dedicated. Internal traffic is always unlimited.
